You felt a sharp pain on your head along with the sun’s rays on your eyes. You slowly opened your eyes but everything was blurry, with a groan you blinked and the roof of a room you did not recognize came to a decent view. You looked to the side and found a nightstand with an open folder filled with papers and writings. You tried to sit up, but the pain it caused to do so only allowed you support yourself with your elbows with a pained groan. Not a second after a woman with brown hair and glasses nearly ripped the curtain in front of your bed open and ran to your side helping you to sit up properly.

“(Y/N)! You’re awake thank goodness!” You were confused

“(Y/N)? Who’s (Y/N)?” The woman’s eyes widened in horror as she looked at you 

"What are you talking about? You’re (Y/N)!”

“I am?”

“Yes! Don’t you remember?!” You tried to but your head hurt too much to do so. You gave a small pained moan as you grabbed your head with one hand

“No…”

“Oh no…” The woman said in horror as she covered her mouth with her hand. “Do you remember anything at all?” You shook your head

“No I don’t”

You looked up at her “Who are you?” She looked at you with a hurt look that made your heart cringe

“I’m Hanji, your best friend. You really don’t remember that?”

“My best friend, Hanji…” you repeated but nothing came to mind

“No…” Your eyes started to water when the realization hit you like a block of ice

“I can’t remember anything!” You said your tears fell and trailed down your cheeks.

“Oh no (Y/N)! Don’t cry!” Hanji said as she embraced you and wept on her shoulder

“I can’t even remember my own name!”

“Oh (Y/N) don’t worry your memories will come back I know they will!” Hanji said as she stroked your (H/L) (H/C) hair. You looked up to her with red and slightly swollen eyes.

“Really?”

“Of course they will! They’re YOUR memories! And I’ve known you for years! And the (Y/N) I know never stays down when she falls and she never gives up! So don’t worry” You felt a little relief at her words and a very small smile appeared on your lips

“That’s my girl!” You flinched at the high tone of her voice that caused you head to hurt even more.

“Gah! I’m so sorry!” You held your head again

“It’s alright Hanji”

“Well you must be starving you’ve been out for three days”

“Three days?!” You screamed causing your head to hurt once more

“Gah! Ow!” “Careful!” Hanji sighed “Guess you’re still as rowdy, well that’s a good sign”

You let out a slight laugh and a small memory came to mind one of your father telling you that when you were a child and had won the fight against your childhood bully. This caused your head to hurt with a sharp pain and you gave a pained mewl.

“What’s wrong?!” “I remembered something; my dad said the same thing to me when I was a child” Hanji smiled

“See! They’re coming back already! Let me get you some food that’ll help for sure!” You nodded

“Thank you Hanji” you said with a soft smile “I’ll be back quicker than you can imagine!” and with that she left leaving you to your thoughts.

LEVI’S P.O.V.

I sat in my office doing paperwork but I couldn’t focus so I ended up glaring at the ceiling ‘It’s been three damn days! When will she wake up?!’ I was frustrated and angry but I didn’t know why. I slammed my fist on the desk

“Damn it” I growled.

A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts “What?” I spat out

“It’s Hanji come out here!” I growled and stood up while glaring at the door. I opened the door harshly

“What do you want shitty glasses?” I glared at her and noticed Erwin was next to her

“Erwin? The hell are you doing here?”

“I don’t know Hanji asked me to follow her”

“That’s right and I need you to do the same” I glared at her and noticed she had a tray filled with soup, crackers and juice I looked at her

“What’s that for?”

“You’ll see” With that she started to walk and the both of us followed.

We followed Hanji to the infirmary, the last place I wanted to be at. I hadn’t been here since the first night after you were left unconscious; I’ve been too upset to do so. Hanji stopped just in front of the door and turned to us with a serious expression. Erwin was the first to speak up

“Hanji what’s going on?”

“(Y/N) woke up…” Erwin and my eyes went wide

‘She’s awake!’

“…but there’s a problem” Erwin and I glanced at each other and narrowed our eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Erwin asked and Hanji put a sorrowful expression on making me worry of the outcome of this conversation.

“…She…Doesn’t remember anything…” Our eyes went wide but that was only for a second until my rage settled and I slammed my fist against the wall next to me.

“What do you mean she doesn’t remember anything?!”

“Levi!” Hanji said shocked at my sudden outburst.

I pushed Hanji out of the way, nearly making her spill her tray and went inside the infirmary slamming the door behind me. I quickly made my way to your bed and nearly ripped the curtain off. There you were sitting there on your bed with gauze wrapped around your head, looking at me with wide eyes. That only made angrier and I stomped over to you, grabbed your arm and shook you roughly

“AH!” You screamed

“What do you mean you don’t remember?!” I shook you again with a tighter grip

“Ah!”

“Answer me damn it!”

“Levi!” Hanji screamed at me as I kept shaking you.

“I told you to answer me!”

“Levi that’s enough!”

I felt something wet on my hand, when I looked at your face I saw you were crying. My eyes went wide

“I-I… don’t know! Please! I don’t know…” I noticed you were shaking.

‘She’s scared of me…’ I slowly started to let go and you flinched. I kept looking at you with wide eyes as I noticed the big red mark I left on your beautiful (S/C) skin. You had your head down, you were shaking and crying and all because of me.

“Levi what the heck got into you?! Hey!” Hanji yelled at me as I stormed off slamming the door behind me once more.

When I exited I came face to face with Erwin who was holding the tray of what I could now assume was your meal.

“Levi what on-”

“Just give her the damn food and leave me alone!” I stormed off to my office.

When I entered my office I slammed the door shut and stomped to my desk. I slammed my hands on it in anger and threw it all on the floor making a damn mess. I was breathing heavily and I slammed both my fists into the hard wood of my desk that creaked at the force.

“Damn it!” I yelled

“It’s all my damn fault!” I yelled as I placed my head in between my fists

“It’s all my fault…” I whispered to myself.
